Six people were killed , four on the spot and two while receiving treatment, when a Tatopani-bound passenger bus met with an accident at Pachas Kilo in Kavre district on Saturday. 35 injured in the accident have been taken to nearby Dhulikhel Hospital for treatment. Six amongst the injured have been reported to be in critical condition.
According to Ram Sharan Kharel, Chief of Arnaiko Transport Service Committee, the ill-fated bus (Ba 3 Kha 2037) which had left from Kathmandu at 11.20 am, plummeted some 15 feet below the road at Pachas Kilo.
The reason behind the accident is yet to be ascertained. Three of the deceased have been identified as 21-year-old Swasthani KC of Kavre , 11-year-old Rejina Dhami of Sindhupalchowk and Sarita Shrestha of Sindhupalchowk.
